On the Harvest Stage

Are you ready to be entertained? Read on to hear about the amazing line up at Caulfield Harvest ‘n’ Graze.

Mark Seymour

Mark Seymour: Mark Seymour is an Australian icon and one of the true innovators of the Australian music scene. When you hear an entire audience joining in a sing-a-long with him of his classic Throw Your Arms Around Me, it becomes apparent right then that there truly is only one Mark Seymour. Mark always had a passion for music.

In 1981 when he formed Hunters and Collectors, one of the greatest bands in Australia’s history was born. With “the Hunters” Mark Seymour wrote some of Australia’s most recognised classics such as When The River Runs Dry and the football match fave Holy Grail. Mark has continued to be a prolific songwriter and stand out performer with 5 solo albums including the critically acclaimed solo album “Westgate.” Mark has recently released a new self-titled album Mark Seymour and the undertow. With an emphasis on storytelling it’s an album of roots based blues with a touch of country and folk. Performing songs old and new this really will be a performance that you will never forget.

Deborah Conway: Deborah Conway is a significant and eloquent contributor to Australian music, singing songs that chronicle the essential elements of life, love, loss, memory and the spiritual. Restless and confounding, her powerful voice and presence has fascinated audiences for the past 30 years. From the moment her band, Do Re Mi released the iconic Man Overboard, off their debut album Domestic Harmony in 1985, Conway has always followed her own path. Conway’s debut solo album String of Pearls, released in 1991, was a radical departure from Do Re Mi. Its themes of youthful reflection and tongue-in-cheek irreverence, embodied in It’s Only The Beginning, Release Me, the bittersweet title track, won her Best Female ARIA award that year. This was the start of a highly successful songwriting and personal collaboration for Conway & Zygier that has resulted so far in eight records and three children. Conway & Zygier have now released their 9th studio album Half Man Half Woman.

Angie Hart: Singer-songwriter Angie Hart rose to fame with the Melbourne-based alt-pop band ‘Frente!’ which formed in 1991, selling more than a million records worldwide and changing the face of pop music in Australia. More recently Angie Hart has become her own entity, releasing solo album ‘Grounded Bird’ in late 2007, and now follow up ‘Eat My Shadow’. ‘Eat My Shadow’, was recorded with APRA- and ARIA-Award winning producer Shane Nicholson, and again features her celebrated winsome yet playful vocals that pack a lyrical punch. Angie Hart reveals the first fruits of her sophomore album, by way of the first single, I’m Afraid of Fridays. Written with Hunters and Collectors front man Mark Seymour, ‘Fridays’ is Angie’s antidote to the trials and tribulations of all that the weekend may bring.

Micheal Spiby: With the renowned Aussie band the Badloves Michael was responsible for such classics as Lost, Green Limousine, I Remember and Caroline, as well as the cover of The Weight With Jimmy Barnes. Since then Michael has embarked on a vibrant solo career recently being nominated for Best Contemporary Album Release at the 14th Annual Aria Awards; for Ho’s Kitchen with the single All My Love Ella receiving high rotation airplay. An outstanding singer/songwriter Michael will be recreated ‘Badloves’ magic at this year’s Caulfield Harvest ‘n’ Graze festival.

Gabriel Lynch: Gabriel Lynch is among Australia’s most promising young musicians, but the sensitivity and maturity he displays towards his craft has secured him a reputation as an accomplished and deeply respected songwriter and showman of the highest calibre. In short, if you haven’t already fallen in love with Gabriel Lynch’s music, it won’t be long before you do. In recent months, Gabriel Lynch has shared the stage with Australian icons, The Whitlams, and conducted a lavishly received solo tour of Europe and the UK. And with the attention that has increasingly surrounded his emotionally charged and often cathartic live shows, seeing Lynch in his element on stage makes it clear as to why he is becoming regarded as one of Melbourne’s leading songwriters and performers.
